Hello and welcome to Rice Designs!
I specialize in digital marketing with experience in both paid and organic social media marketing. I graduated from the New Media & Web Development program at BCIT in 2019 and have since been dedicated to growing my career in the digital marketing industry. Early in my career, I worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for the Functional Beverage Group, where I gained hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, website management, and digital marketing strategy.
For the past four years, I have been working at one of the largest media and digital marketing organizations in North America, where I currently work as a Social Media Team Lead and Interim Operations Lead. In this role, I oversee a team of social media specialists and work closely with leadership on campaign strategy, digital operations, client support, training, and process development.
As a Social Media Manager, I bring a wide range of skills and experience in social media advertising, content creation, campaign management, and digital marketing strategy. My certification in New Media & Web Development from BCIT supports my strong interest in content creation and web design, particularly through platforms such as WordPress. I also have experience working alongside SEO strategies and website optimization through both agency and in-house projects.
My software proficiency includes Adobe Creative Cloud programs, WordPress, Canva, Semrush, Meta Ads Manager, Looker Studio, and various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.
Maya Angelou once said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” This philosophy is the cornerstone of my passion for this industry. The endless opportunities to express creativity, face new challenges, and grow professionally are what drive me. I thrive on transforming ideas into tangible creations, whether it’s graphic design, digital campaigns, social media content, or website design. There’s a reason behind every creative decision, and sharing that vision with the world is incredibly rewarding.
When I’m not behind the computer screen, I enjoy traveling, cooking, dancing, reading, and attending local events. Having lived in Australia for two years, I developed a love for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. I am also an animal lover and proud owner of three amazing cats who bring joy to my daily life.
